Supper at Paragon
I managed to convinced my friends that supper was a more worthy cost than watching Zorro; that movie wasn't starring Keira Knightley anyway.
Just to sidetrack a bit, after supper, we went to roam the streets about and the Halloween/Deepavali spirit was really in the air. =). Lotsa of people dressed up to party and people-watching was great, =D. Alas, it couldn't last longer...EYE CANDIES!
And I was thinking of hawker food like satay, char kway teow, laksa and zi char...But no. Supper was in town, in Orchard, in Paragon, at
Bakerzin, formally known as Baker's Inn.
Ambience was relaxing, service was prompt and friendly and the food...hmmm
The MenuDessert Tapas: Hot chocolate shooter with vallina ice cream; Raspberry panna cotta; Vanilla creme brulee
Main Courses: Smoked Salmon linguini; Pork escalopes with pesto linguini
Cakes: New York cheese cake
Hot chocolate shooter with vallina ice cream
Tasted too much like a shoot of pure melted chocolate. The taste of the vanllia was overwhelmed completely. Very normal.
Raspberry panna cottaI liked the presentation a lot! Felt a bit like eating a cheese cake with berries on top. The sweet and sour flavours combined very well and played a lovely tune on my palate.
Vanilla creme bruleeThought to be the best among the 3 tapas. A layer of caramelised sugar covering the sweet offering it has beneath. I was reminded of an egg tart when sampling it.
Pork escalopes with pesto linguini
Hmmm, quite nice. The portion was sufficient for one. The pork was quite well done, but I felt that there was too much pepper and it was a tad too salty. Kinda dry too...The linguini was served with a healthy about of olive oil, which I don't think is that healthy...but yeah, it was good. =D.
Photography wise, I just wished that I had taken more pictures. I was too hungry! =S.
